Snapshot – Little Havana Food Tour

While in Miami (back in 2022), we embarked on a walking food tour of Little Havana with Miami Culinary Tours. It is safe to say that this was one of the best food tours we have ever done. We got plenty of food and a very good taste of this area. The food was so delicious that we returned to two of our favorite spots on a recent weekend trip to Miami.

We started with the tiniest and mightiest cup of Cuban coffee from El Pub. Don’t let the size fool you, this will get you more jacked up than Mountain Dew.

We also got an empanada from El Pub and it was delicious and an excellent start to the tour.

Domino Park is exactly what it sounds like. It is a place to gather and play dominos. The players take it pretty seriously so it can be interesting to watch while strolling down the famous Calle 8 of Little Havana.

Our next stop was Old’s Havana Cuban Bar and Cocina, which also has outdoor seating called La Terraza. Here we had a Cubano sandwich (above) and a classic Mojito (below). This was hands down the best Cubano and Mojito we have ever had and this place was top priority on our recent trip. The Mojitos are being made fresh constantly and the Cubano is just amazing.

Not pictured is a bakery called Party Cake Bakery, but it is also a must stop. On the tour, we each got a guava pastelito and it was divine. We also returned to Party Cake and got a variety of sweets on our recent trip. This place is so delicious and super affordable.

We got Churros from Churro Mania and they were very good, but, we were also very full by this stop on the tour.

Lastly, we made a stop into a mercado selling fresh produce and fresh pressed sugar cane juice. It was quite the experience.

The tour also included stops at a shop selling Guayaberas and a cigar shop where they were actively rolling Cuban cigars. You get to enjoy art and culture while stuffing your face. Who could ask for more?

In 2022, we paid $69 each for this tour and it lasted for 2 1/2 hours. It does involve a bit of walking, but nothing too strenuous.

If you are in Miami and have some time, we highly recommend this food tour. In addition to ample delicious food, you also learn a lot about the history of both Little Havana and Cuba. It is definitely one of the best food tours we have gone on and it can introduce you to some amazing spots in Little Havana. Definitely add this to your itinerary for Miami.
