Snapshot – Avalanche Lake

The hike to Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park is a must, and we really mean MUST, do activity. Put this on your bucket list because it is worth it.

The hike is about five miles round trip, but it is not very strenuous.

The trek is mostly through a very lush green forest with towering trees that make you feel like you are in a fairytale.

The trail can be a bit muddy as there is a lot of rain and leftover snow melt, so make sure to wear waterproof, comfortable, sturdy shoes/boots.

The end of the trail opens onto the lake which is surrounded by mountains.

The view is just amazing. One of the top five places we have seen so far.

The waters are so clear and there is a nice shoreline to walk around to take the view in from all angles.

If this isn’t already on your list, go ahead and put it on there.
